My name is Toby Getsch. I am NOT my resume. I am NOT my job. However, those things will probably lead you to various perceptions about me. And THAT, is what this page is all ABOUT.

A friend of mine has this great story from his days in grad school with this mock company. He got an A on the project. It really was a school project. And, since I don’t mind A’s, I like to draw attention to good work… especially when it’s fun and funny.

You see, he has no motivation. Yet, for some reason, people like him, even though he can’t go left, and he’s afraid to go right. He’s also funny.

Oh, wait… this is about me.

Point being… I’m ok with being random and spontaneous. I’m ok with not everyone liking me. And, I’m ok with having fun and laughing. I’m really good at my job. I’ve never had a job where I wasn’t good at it. That’s thanks to my mom instilling in me a great work ethic. She was a non-stop hard worker all the time while I was growing up. So, I understand that anything good (me) takes some work.

So, what is there to say about me now? I’m online at Getsch.net, 4×4 Weekend, LinkedIn, Flickr and YouTube. I’m also a few other places, but that should be more than enough to hunt me down and make fun of me and enjoy that I like to enjoy life and smile and have a good time.

I have an eclectic music taste. I don’t like much hard rock or heavy rap. I’m a bit into country recently. Yes, I said, I’m a bit into country recently. (I think that may have been a phase!) I have a soft spot for Latin music and salsa. I love to groove to good jazz funk music. I really like dancing. Actually, if you were to pick one thing to handicap me and have a really big impact, removing dancing would be crippling.
