allergies and a pollen alert

For quite a while now (several years) I’ve been fairly allergy free. Yesterday afternoon I started to feel really lousy, with a terrible headache. I ended up going to bed shortly after getting home from work. I thought it would be a nap and then I’d be fine. It turns out that I slept all the way through the night, from about 6 PM to 6 AM. (If anyone knows me, that’s very rare for me to sleep that long.) I think it was because of allergies.
I checked out the weather report for today and saw a Pollen Alert for Seattle, WA. I’m thinking this may be what’s giving me a headache and making my eyes feel like my eyelids are rough sandpaper. I sure am glad I don’t feel like this very often. I feel much better today than I did yesterday, except for my eyes. I’m pretty sure this is not the way they usually feel.
