[See a lengthy disclosure at the end of this post.]
Hey, my brother and sister-in-law and future brother-in-law are working smart (and hard) on some new, cool technology. They recently launched a new site. And, they have a blog!!!
CheckOutMyCards.com is the new site. And, from the CheckOutMyCards.com Blog, Tim Getsch writes: A new day for baseball card collectors - That’s a nice biography of how he’s progressed to make this “hobby” into something very significant and very creative.
It’s also an excellent example of solving real world problems, using technology. These problems cannot be solved without technology. The problems are turned into amazing opportunities.
They’ve got the right mix of Julia Getsch running this company and Andy Bird as a key developer, make looking at this “hobby” like looking at gorgeous mountains in the distance. Some day you want to go there. It’s very real. Andy can attest to that. He moved across the country to start working on it.
I can’t wait to see what comes next from this team!
[Disclosure and Transparency: I am blogging about this because it is cool and creative and exciting. I am blogging about this because it is a great use of several great technologies. I have no current financial connections on this topic. In fact, I have done a little bit of consulting for Julia Getsch Enterprises and have decided not to charge for it, because I did not want to have any paid bias towards my comments and I wanted my comments to speak for themselves, and not to speak because I was paid. If you have any questions, please contact me directly.]
