JobHunt Getting Busy
February 22, 2007 by Toby Getsch
I think this is a very good thing.
In the past few days, after returning from a short R & R visit to Vancouver and Whistler this past weekend, I have been contacted for a number of exciting employment opportunities and other business opportunities. I have scheduled some in person interviews and have had a number of phone interviews.
It’s exciting! It’s also exhausting.
This week I have also had a number of other networking events and fun things that I have not done, because of needing to prep for interviews and making sure that I focus on the important, not just the urgent. Don’t get me wrong here. Over the past few months, I have been continually doing my part of applying for jobs and networking. It’s just that recently, there have been more responses. Sometimes, when it’s related to a getting a job, it is both urgent and important. That’s fine with me. If I’m supposed to be good in those situations for an employer, I should be able to model that successfully for my own life!
My resume is posted online, and I am actively seeking a good full time opportunity. Recently, the most exciting positions to me have been Program Management, Project Management, and Tech Evangelist roles. I like to say I’m a Technologist, Strategist and Evangelist. It really depends on the setting. (You may have to act fast, as some recent interviews have gone really well.)
