Hot Rockin’ Resume Help is Here!

OK, that title is a little too sexy for the topic of help with a resume, but I’m really happy with the process I’m going through with The Brane Company.  Taunya Covington has been prompt, followed through as promised, fast, and very courteous.  She’s also been able to assimilate my skills and experience in a way that [...]

Just hire me!

I’m working on my resume again today, and yesterday.  There are so many ways to say things, and so many different interpretations of the ways things are said.  Grrr…
Don’t you ever just want to say, “Just hire me!”
Too bad it doesn’t work that way.  Anyway, stay tuned for an updated resume here in the next [...]

I’m cold.

OK, I know that I’m from Minnesota, born and raised.  I also know that now I live in the Seattle, Washington area in the Pacific Northwest.  It’s cooler here than many other areas of the country.  But yesterday and today, I’ve been cold!
I *LOVE* the Fall and the season change.  The cooler air is revitalizing.  It’s [...]

The recent DNS changes affected the RSS Feed URL’s.  The old ones should still work ok, but I would advise updating them.  Any decent Many RSS readers do this automatically.
The current RSS Feeds are:

If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2, you can click on those URL’s and subscribe using your browser as [...]

More Fun with DNS

I’m doing some more adjustments with DNS to setup some of my domain names and subdomains to scale better and reflect how they will be used.  None of the changes made today affect email.  Believe it or not, this is spot on with my continuing efforts to simplify.
Here are some of the updates.

Flickr: Make a badge

I just figured out how to get My SuperFavs Photoset to display on my Getsch.net web site.  Flickr has a Make a badge page that walks you through it.  Then it’s just copy and past into the html.  I played with it a little to get it to look the way I wanted, but out [...]

I just ran across the Internet Archive again.  I’ve looked at it before, probably a year or two ago.  It’s pretty amazing how much ’stuff’ is archived - out there.
Go to:  http://www.archive.org/
Enter your URL in the www search box (Way Back Machine).
Viola! (That’s for getsch.net.)

sick and tired and funny

I am sick and tired.  No, not a rant.  I’m just not feeling 100% today.  It feels sort of like the flu, sort of like I ate something that didn’t agree with me and sort of like I’m just grumpy.
Here’s another funny way of describing days like this, with the ICEC system.

Emergency Coffee

Each month when I get my new batch of fresh, top grade, free trade, shade grown, organic, awesome coffee mailed to me - I take what’s left from the previous month’s batch and I put it aside in a separate container - you know, for emergencies - coffee emergencies - like if I run out, or have [...]

As we all try to learn and grow, sometimes it takes longer than desired to reach our goals.  Timing and patience have been the theme for me lately.
